Red face

Reduce facial redness for good

When patients present with a red face, it can be due to a number of different reasons; sensitive skin, stress, hormones, rosacea, or an underlying condition. Additional symptoms may include burning, soreness, and discomfort of the skin, and a gritty sensation in the eyes. In each case we will assess the symptoms of your red facial skin with a view to identifying potential causes. Our Holistic approach of helping you may be accompanied by prescription medicines, or treatment using energy based devices (EBDs).

Sensitive skin may have become red due to common aggravating factors, such as sudden changes of temperature, long hot baths, the week before your period, and certain foods such as spicy food, garlic, dark chocolate, blue cheese, citrus, coffee, tea and alcohol.

Rosacea is an often inherited condition that causes the skin to flush red. It occurs most frequently in Caucasians, particularly in women with their skin. Patients present with redness, pimples, and small broken blood vessels of the face. Some suffer flushing, others red eyes, and occasionally in men there is a swollen strawberry nose.
