RSM Aesthetics Congress XIV Celebrates Multidisciplinary Expertise and Scientific Integrity

The Royal Society of Medicine’s Aesthetics Congress XIV brought together specialists from across medicine and surgery, reflecting the breadth of expertise that informs contemporary aesthetic practice. Dermatology, plastic and craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial surgery, ENT, dental surgery, lifestyle medicine and longevity were all represented.

The Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery Section is led by its inaugural President, consultant dermatologist Dr Christopher Rowland Payne, founder of Devonshire Dermatology. He is supported by Vice-President Mr Jonathan Britto and President-Elect Dr Souphi Samizadeh, bringing complementary perspectives to the Section’s educational work.

Developed and chaired by Dr Souphi Samizadeh, Congress President, the programme comprised 21 evidence-based presentations across four sessions. Each contribution was clinical or scientific, with a clear commitment to independent education. No place on the programme could be purchased, and no presentation was an advertisement.

This emphasis on scientific integrity provided a valuable setting for specialists to share knowledge and consider developments beyond their own disciplines. Such exchange supports a thoughtful approach to aesthetic medicine, grounded in clinical understanding and informed professional discussion.
